Yes, of course my Dickens challenge requires accessories!
Since I decided to follow Lucy’s lead and do the Dickens challenge, I wondered if I could mark it in some special way. I’m a bit of a sucker for accessories and accoutrements. I bought special pencils for Proust, and I have a special hat I wear for writing and thinking. So, what better way to evoke the ambience of Victorian squalor than a pair of hand-knitted charcoal fingerless gloves.
Fingerless gloves add that perfect touch of Dickensian squalor to your look, and are so much easier to manage than consumption or rickets.
