Who wants a Peek inside My New Bureau
Actually it’s not new, it’s been sitting unused in the cabin for quite a while as lack of internet means I don’t write up there much. Still, it’s my exciting shiny new work space, and if that doesn’t warrant balloons I don’t know what does.
Our recent room reshuffling means I’ve now got space for it in my bedroom. So I’ll be able to blog in style in my little corner like a perishing Dickensian accounts clerk and then retreat to my cabin for reading, knitting and chin-stroking.
Lovely! I’m very jealous. Also, although I don’t follow football myself, generations of my family would swear my blood runs claret and blue, so on their behalf I commend you on your mug choice 😉

Also, you probably can’t see him very clearly but in the top left hand corner I have a small knitted messianic Russell Brand in a long white robe and West Ham scarf holding a holy pigeon that I made to commemorate him kissing the then manager Sam Allardyce in a post match interview after a West Ham win. Maybe I need to get out more.

WordPress won’t let me reply directly to your comment about Russell Brand so I’m replying here to say that is awesome – you are a talented woman! Love the holy pigeon 🙂

Oops, it came out under the Russell Brand comment anyway…I’ll stop typing now….

I’ll agree with the title of this post if we can change ‘peek’ to ‘steal’. I want to steal it. And all the ink on the top row. Would I be able to get it down the stairs by myself or should I bring a an additional burglar with me?

Well there are no stairs this end, so you’re all right, but I’ll be guarding it with my ninja skills, and don’t forget I did Kung Fu, not to mention flamenco, and if you’ve seen my flamenco, you’d be more scared of that than the Fu. 😉

Ha! I’d forgotten you did Kung Fu. I’d try crating it away and you’ll come out of one of the drawers and chop me one.

It only cost a tenner in a secondhand shop – such a lucky find. It’s a pleasure to work at. 🙂
